Shrine leaders gathered at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for the 2024 Pilgrimage Workshop and conference, March 4th and 5th.
NASPA President Carol Bezak was in attendance at the workshop representing The National Shrine of our Lady of Mount Carmel in NY.
"It was so wonderful being at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC to share and collaborate with the staff there, and other Shrine personnel represented at this year's Pilgrimage Conference. The schedule was well planned, hospitable and enjoyable, and the staff of the Basilica should be commended!"
Archbishop Timothy Broglio from the USCCB gave an inspiring talk about the upcoming Jubilee Year and what Shrines can do to prepare and celebrate.Â
Masses were celebrated in the Crypt Church in the Basilica by Msgr. Vito Buonanno on the opening night, and Wilton Cardinal Gregory on the second day.Â
It was surely a blessed opportunity to further the mission of our Shrines and enjoy the beauty of the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land, which we visited as well. Looking forward to next year's conference!"
