17 Marian Shrines to visit in May
May is traditionally dedicated to honoring and seeking the intercession of Mary as the Mother of God and Mother of the Church. As the Mother of God, the Virgin Mary has a unique position among the saints. She is exalted, yet still one of us. There is an obligatory Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church in the Roman Calendar. This memorial is celebrated every year on the Monday after Pentecost, which is May 20th this year. In honor of our Blessed Mother, consider visiting one of these Marian Shrines near you.
